Eleven staff members from Garrun Group are attempting to climb Kilimanjaro in August. Will keep you posted on that.

On the 19th of May, Johannesburg’s Killarney Country Club was awash with excitement as more than 150 ladies competed in Garrun’s annual Charity Day bowls tournament. Great fun was had by all and the skilled Sheila Buncomb took home the top bowling honours. Good times aside, proceeds were raised and donated to Hospice, Ma Africa, Tikku and Hatzolla. A big thank you to everyone who made the day so special.

From the 19th to the 21st of May three teams wearing the Garrun colours took part in the grueling Sani to Sea cycle challenge. Starting in Underberg and finishing some 270 km later in Scottborough, the off-road event put the cyclists through their paces. Well done to our teams who all completed the race, with one even placing 59 out of the 650 team entries. On the 7th May, Garrun sponsored a charity fishing tournament in order to help raise funds for the Rijk Tulbagh School. There was a total of 272 rods in the water and although no one managed to hook the prize fish (aahh the one that got away), we hope to be back again next year in order to raise more funds and rustle up some more fish.
